This was Metallica's first concert in Russia.
Other bands on the bill were AC/DC, E.S.T., Black Crowes, and Pantera.
This was a free concert to celebrate the fall of communism. It is estimated that somewhere between 500,000 and 1,500,000 people attended. |

The members of Metallica have said that this was perhaps the best concert they ever played. Unfortunately, this DVD doesn't really reflect that (since it's not perfect quality). However, a lot of traders consider this show a necessity. |
