The last time Metallica played in East Rutherford was almost exactly three years ago on July 20, 2000.
This was Metallica's sixth show at Giants Stadium. The first show at Giants Stadium was on June 26, 1988 opening for Van Halen.
The opening bands were Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Deftones, and Mudvayne. |

This DVD was re-authored by me.
This DVD continues the tradition of great-quality Summer Sanitarium 2003 shows. This one isn't quite the best, but it's still very good. The only complaint I have is that the audio quality is inconsistent. |
