This was Metallica's second performance at the Reading Festival. The first was exactly six years ago on August 24, 1997.
Some of the other bands on the bill were Linkin Park, Blur, Blink 182, The White Stripes, Beck, System of a Down, and Sum 41.
This was the last European show of the summer festival tour. |

This DVD doesn't live up to the new standard of quality that earlier 2003 shows have set. The filming is shaky and obstructed, the audio is very distorted, and the video quality is decent at best. If you're on a quest to collect all the 2003 shows, this one should be near the bottom of your list. |
