SHOW NOTES
|
This was the sixth time that Metallica have played in Donington at this festival, the first being August 17, 1985 and the last being June 1, 2003.
Other bands on the bill included Cradle of Filth, Damageplan, Drowning Pool, Hatebreed, Hoobastank, Korn, Linkin Park, Machine Head, Monster Magnet, Opeth, Slayer, Slipknot, Statix-X, and Sum 41.
Lars was absent from this show so Flemming Larsen (Lars' drum tech), Dave Lombardo (from Slayer), and Joey Jordison (from Slipknot) filled in for him. This was the first show Lars has missed in 23 years. |
MOOF'S COMMENTS
|
This DVD has two audio tracks. You can choose between soundboard or audience.
Compared to the rest of the 2004 shows, this one is nothing special. But the fact that Lars was missing from this gig makes this DVD a must-have. This angle is better than the first angle in every way. |
